Aidan crashed at 7:30 last night so I installed Movable Type and as usual, got sucked into looking at the site statistics for loudjoy.com. Whenever this happens, hours are lost. Anyhow, I came across this article in another language that features my dear son's mug - can anyone tell me who it is or what it says? Is it a Hungarian relative? Is it totally random?

Dear Christy, seeing Aiden - most definitely - in this publication is weird. They seem to have accessed it off Loudjoy; and the "cz" on the end of the address (at the bottom) suggests the Czech Republic. As to what it is about, I have no clue. The paragraph below the picture is related; I don't know about the headline. If you want to pursue it... write to them. How are you doing? Has your midwife got any clues about this baby (size, gender, whatever...)? When is your due date?Best to you all, Alexa
a friend of ours is czech. we're asking him to translate - but he's a postdoc in vienna, now, so it might be a day or two. (i think he checks his email daily.) ahh, the internet. that is the weirdest thing.love*liz and matt
Oh thanks so much Liz!
wow thats is so wierd!!!glad your feeling better!we got you beautiful card we'll be returning a letter shortly
The article seems to be a news story on the Jacksonville, Florida woman who was arrested and failed to tell authorities that her toddler was home alone for three weeks. The story mentions how the baby survived on ketchup and mustard. How disturbing that it's illustrated with your baby's photo. The child and mother in the case are black, so why they'd steal your photo is beyond me.
I do think it would be even weirder if they tried to find an image that they thought looked like the actual child but WASN'T the actual child. I'd rather that they googled "Eating Baby" than "Black Baby" to illustrate such a disturbing story.I wonder what the caption says. It's funny, I think that I am most bothered by the fact that the lighting is so poor in that picture. I can't wait to see what the caption says.
This is crazy. I don't think I like it.Oh...WHERE'S BUZZ LIGHTYEAR?I'm boycotting your site until I see it!
I forgot to say, the baby also survived on dry spaghetti -- which is why the photo seems to apply. The caption mentions it's a "photo illustration" so I guess they're not implying that your child is the one! Maybe they did Google "baby eating spaghetti." I don't have a direct translation, I used:http://translation.langenberg.com/Glad you're not upset, at any rate (the lighting is fine, lol!) I think I probably would be pretty freaked out if someone stole my photo for like that.
okay, so, it's a little long. but i think by now everyone wants to see it. so. um. here.oh and i wanna see buzz lightyear too!love*liz
Good Maude! That's more than a little disturbing! The internet is a weird place.
So, Christy, are we Hungarian family members off the hook? At least it's an old picture...we want to see Buzz Lightyear, now.Hi, Pam & Tyson!Love, Alexa
